COMMUNITY PERSPECTIVE ON PATIENT PRIVACY

Abstract

The concept of privacy refers to an area that belongs to the person’s private, that is, to him.
Society’s view of patient privacy is based on age, gender, etc. may vary according to demographic
characteristics. In this study, it was aimed to determine the community’s perspective on patient
privacy. For this purpose, a survey was tried to be applied to all segments of society. But both
the conditions caused by the pandemic and the restrictions that were made limited the efficient
retrieval of data. However, in light of the data collected, Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient
of the 36-question scale was found to be 0.80. as a result of this research, it was concluded that
demographic data affects patient privacy, and the outlook on privacy changes on the basis of the
scale question, and some recommendations were made in this direction.
